Disney World for Couples
1. Romantic Dinner
If you are planning a romantic evening, think ahead. You should make a reservation 60 days in advance and check the menu before even making a reservation. You don’t want to end up in a fancy (and pricey) restaurant that you may not even enjoy. My top choices for romantic dinner are Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White (Disney’s Wilderness Lodge) and Cinderella’s Royal Table (Magic Kingdom).
Both have a prix fixe menu that includes an appetizer, an entrée, and dessert. Their theming is beautiful and you will find a meal even for the pickiest eaters.
2. Disney Floral and Gifts
This Disney official store makes it possible for you to buy a surprise for your favorite person. You can send floral or balloon arrangements, and personalized gifts. I used the service twice: once for my husband during my honeymoon and once for a birthday. It was all sent to my hotel reception and came beautifully wrapped. The website mentions the gift will be delivered to your room, but that was not the case for me. Either way, I consider it a great service.
My romantic gift was a cooler bag filled with smaller presents (the cooler bag was for me, I must admit). I ordered a bottle of grape juice, mickey champagne glasses, cookies to bring to the parks, and personalized Mickey and Minnie Ears:
The cooler I ordered was quite expensive, so here is one I recommend if you want to bring one to the parks when you visit:
3. Photo Pass
Disney photographers are professionals. They take your picture with their camera and scan your band or ticket for you to download it through your Memory Maker (or buy it later). But did you know they will also take a picture from your phone if you ask them to? If you don’t want to buy the photo pass, this is a totally free option. Don’t hesitate to ask them.
If you’re interested in the Memory Maker, its cost is $69 for the total of your stay and you can purchase it through the official Disney website. Just remember to buy it before you enter the parks and link it to everyone in your group. With this pass, you will be able to download all your pictures on your phone or PC. The ride pictures are also included, and they may even add pixie dust to some snaps!
4. After Hour or Special Ticketed Events
These events are ideal for groups without kids. They allow you to spend extra time at the parks after their closing hour. There are currently two events and they depend on the season: Disney Very Merriest After Hours for Christmas and Disney After Hours Boo Bash for Halloween. The ticket includes exclusive snacks and beverages and the lines for rides will be much shorter.
5. Disney Springs
Disney Springs is a gastronomic and shopping center that you should always add to your itinerary. In this article, I recommend 15 Disney Spring Food Spots you Must Visit.
I really like the Coca-Cola Store Rooftop Beverage Bar for a fun evening with a nice view. At Disney Springs, you may also encounter night shows or you can go bowling.
6. Matching Outfits
Matching shirts look super cute in families and couples. There are so many options to choose from, here are some for you:
7. Epcot
A Night at Epcot can become a very romantic plan. You should plan an evening during weekdays as the park will not be filled with local college students. I love events here and my favorite is the Food and Wine Festival. I suggest going in the afternoon, grabbing 4 or 5 options from the World Showcase stands (food and drinks), and turning this plan into a dining show while watching Harmonious.
Epcot’s International Food and Wine Festival also offers live shows from very famous artists. You can check out the artist schedule and go to Epcot whenever you find a band you like. I can assure you there are at least 2 or 3 artists that will be of your interest. The schedule is so diverse!
